It's Jenelle's Spring Break and my Easter three-day weekend. We rang it in with movie night at home Thursday, disc golf Friday on the Little Lehigh Parkway, a fun day in the city Saturday, a new fave breakfast spot in B-hem and the Lehigh U Adirondack chairs Sunday, and minor house stuff sprinkled all in the midst.

The High Line is perhaps my favorite park of all time. It rivals the FDR Memorial in Washington DC without having any water features. It makes me want to suggest that Lower Macungie Township build an elevated railroad just so it can be abandoned and turned into a park. It would not be good use of civil dollars anywhere but Manhattan, where such an expensive reclamation of less than 5 acres is a deal because 5 other acres simply aren't available. It is the fastest 1.45 mile walk you'll ever experience because there's not a single moment available for contemplating the distance. It is park magic. I loved it and wished it would continue north until Canada.
The rest of the city was cool, too, but more in the thermal sense. We never really got warm as we walked DUMBO, the Chelsea flea, and all over Flatiron and SoHo. We did find hip burger joint Stand and loved both the scrumptious burger and gelato-based peanut butter cup shake.
