I think that if I were ever blindfolded and driven thousands of miles in the trunk of a large sedan I could tell if the place I was released was near a Great Lake. I'm in west Michigan on business (blindfold/trunk free) and it just feels like early summer days of my youth with a gray haze forming to the west and late-night sunsets stretching forever to the horizon. Maybe it's the flat land, I'm not sure, but it feels like summertime near the big lakes.

The week and weekend just past was busy, busy, busy: Bill & Sharon arrived Wednesday evening and Justin Thursday. Jenelle went to Philly with the fam on Friday and we all went to NYC on Saturday. Sunday was Justin's birthday, which we celebrated with too much food, then bbq and dessert.

Monday night we helped some neighbors become former neighbors, hauling boxes and furniture into a new house to the northwest. A little later Monday night I got up and headed to GRR.
