Just watched the end of hockey season at the end of a supremely blustery day here in the valley. We didn't let a little wind stop us, though: mounted our monitor on a Sapper&trade arm, put a rock wall around the tree, planted day lilies in the worm-riddled compost fill that the rocks allowed, went to the nursery in pursuit of a non-invasive bamboo species, rounded up a lightweight pot for said bamboo, shopped for a new point/shoot/hd-video camera for Jenelle's trip, and made chilaquillas for dinner. And that was only today....

The week flew but neither of us enjoyed it. Work was fine - though hot for Jenelle - but somehow it didn't seem like fun for either of us. I played volleyball and basketball and went to a work gathering for a PD friend on Friday, but somehow the last five days never really got clicking until we were sitting at Sonic breathing in the fumes from so many idling cars and enjoying ice cream dessert/midnight snacks.
