Jenelle should be home in a few hours, which makes me antsy at home, waiting. All the prep for her arrival was done early. To wit: Saturday was the day to get the bigger projects wrapped up (and to do errands then relax with Prairie Home & cats in the loft), Sunday was the day for World Cup match and some last details including skating nearly nine miles at Rodale, and Monday was the day for clearing and cleaning after a pep talk from Robin. This morning started off quickly, with calls and blood donation, but then ground to a mental crawl in the afternoon while a little A340-600 icon ticked ever-so-slowly across a big blue section of Google Earth. Then, in one last weather-induced irony, the rain which has been absent the whole time Jenelle was gone created air traffic delays at EWR.
According to phone calls and final blog posts from Deutschland it has been a whirlwind last few days there, too. Munich, obvs, then Salzburg and the bit of Austria between those two cities. I gather that the tour portion of the trip has been a bit more about chaperoning and checking important things off of lists, but when you are in Salzburg it's fairly mandatory to see Mozart's birthplace. Either way, final trip musings and photos are online.
