Back into blogging but in a lame kind of way. Who spends four days on the beach by the big lake but doesn't put up pictures? This guy.

Anyway, we enjoyed the warm water, sand beaches, cool little town, and non-stop boat parade that is South Haven and the Black River. It had been over a year since I'd been in a Great Lake and it felt awesome...don't tell anybody. As with most family gatherings there was too much food, plus too much sangria thanks to a giant white bucket with a spigot at the bottom. Too much sun, too, and perhaps too much driving, though somehow the little things seem pretty little when you are over your head in clear water and your toes can feel the cold lurking or when you get ice cream on your shirt watching the boats head out the channel.

Life resumed immediately in PA...meetings like crazy all day, then volleyball, chair delivery, and Ryan over for dinner in the evenings. The tomato plants are now as tall as me and the basil, grass, and honeysuckle are all literally pouring out of their intended zones and threatening to take over our entire ZIP code.
