Just rolled back in from date night. It was totally impromptu, much like the 30+ minute conversation I had in the parking lot after work which started our evening late, the only logical remedy for which was Cali Burrito and "The Kids are Alright" at Civic Theatre. It was fun and a great way to spend an otherwise rained out Thursday.
Played volleyball last night despite the heat and humidity. Maybe all the sweat caused some of the poor play initially, but after we all adjusted it was actually pretty high level play. We've been eating 'maters and basil from the garden like crazy. Jenelle augmented our first harvest with some farm market 'maters and made sauce for winter. She's also unleashed our new carpet cleaner on the upper floors. This sounds dull and boring but it is virtually the same as replacing the flooring without the hassle of moving all the furniture. Other than that just your run-of-the-mill week around here.
