I'm back on the road and trying to keep some semblance of a normal life while that's going on. Doug, Josh, Rob, et al, I can only imagine the piles of detritus which stack up at home. For me that pile is mostly in the basement, where deck stairs are finally closing in on being done but will leave a full Saturday of de-sawdusting. I've been using plane rides to scheme ways to cobble together a dust collector without spending dust collector money on it.

Weekend was partly a day with birthday friends at Cheesecake Factory in King of Prussia and partly with extended family in Norristown, then at home partly on the couch watching the Michigan-UMass game on DVR and the end of State-ND live. Sunday we did Blue Sky Cafe and stair work, discovering a learning moment from last weekend which will lead to a learning moment next weekend. I have CAD and above-average spatial awareness (it's true! according to ASVAB tests from 1996), but scratch-built deck stairs are still a challenge. I have great fear that the basement might turn out as an cubist/Escher sculpture covered in sawdust.
