Flying solo on a Monday evening while Jenelle tries to convince her AP students' parents that their kids are being challenged. I say get an A then come on back. Or get dual-appointed to Navy. I'm probably not one to talk, but it seems like challenge shouldn't be yet another thing for youth to be spoon-fed. Motivation is a gift/talent too.

Today I demonstrated neither gifts or talents, analyzing data and leaving the office for an afternoon doctor appointment. Tomorrow I'm off to the west where an injury has impacted the team.

The weekend was nice - though Sunday was a kind of housework lazy that holds up poorly to blogging. Saturday we ventured into the big city with Ryan, Petra and their boys. We went to Mario Batali's new market, Eataly, and were totally overwhelmed. We went to the American Natural History Museum and were totally overwhelmed. After all that we kicked it in the park for awhile, then said goodnight to friends outside a Flatiron pizza place and found a sidewalk table for Italian in SoHo, then grabbed a West Village crepe and listened to piano in Washington Square before heading home. I love being able to spend a day in New York, make an evening out of it, and sleep that night in our own bed.
