I guess I've been too distracted by the Michigan coaching change to blog. Now that that's over I'm back to it.

Last week started in GR, had a gooey middle with travel to LMT in time for a Parks & Rec meeting, and closed with a heinous trip up I95 to East Lyme to see Gram at Dombrowski's. The roads were beyond treacherous and the Subaru once again affirmed that it is - literally - the best winter car there is. With snow tires? I shudder.

Gram made it before the snow arrived and we spent a whole weekend getting caught up. There was bowling and baked cheese and Darcy time and snow shoveling and Top Gear. Real highlights, though, were his trip slideshow (about 230 candidates for best desktop wallpaper you have ever seen) and a Tongan talisman for each of us. We were all pretty jealous of his trip. As a matter of fact, here:

Visions in Tonga

Welcome back from Huahine. I stared at that and questioned my life choices for a minute, too.

Back to life this week with renewed vigor to get ready for baby. We've tackled the hobby room, which will become the nursery over the next few months. There's always a mysterious amount of purging needed in there, but tonight in our digging we got to wedding boxes and found a message from POD in our guest book: "I have high hopes for you two."
